From a perspective that transcends individual experience, A Marble Travelogue follows a piece of Greek white marble, witnessing how it undergoes transportation, transformation, appropriation, and deconstruction within the stone and tourism industries between Greece and China, gradually ascending China's capitalistic spiral. This fetishistic Odyssey in the age of mechanical reproduction portrays the myriad beings on the food chain of Late Globalization, retrospecting the bygone fanatic era when China experienced a surge in material expansion.
